“I came to camp more anti-gun, then pro-gun. I never thought I would learn so much about guns and how to use them safely so fast! During the camp I went from being afraid of guns to being in control. What a great experience!” Program Director - ESPN Outdoors

Kudos to Smith & Wesson!
Smith & Wesson has been our camp sponsor in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Their commitment to underwriting Ladies Camp has been outstanding! We are proud to announce that Smith & Wesson has stepped forward yet again to sponsor Ladies Camp in 2008.
3 Cheers for the NSSF!
Once again NSSF has stepped up with a grant of support for the women’s program. With their continued assistance USPSA will continue to help fund and promote these outstanding camps.

More Than Just A Camp
Consider the Ladies Handgun Camp as part gun education, part pajama party and 100% enjoyment. Make new friends from across the U.S. or bring your gal pals and make some new memories together. In the past, camps have been as far east as Springfield (MA) and as far west as Burbank, CA. We are always looking for new locations with a suitable range and accommodations. It only takes a minimum of 12 campers to initiate a camp in your area. If you think you have the right location and some interested gals then contact Kay at her website: www.Bang-Inc.com
What to Expect
Campers gather the first evening and then start an awesome, three-day, intensive learning curve the next morning. Most campers depart the afternoon of the 3rd day. On average, we shoot 900 rounds (bullets) at each camp. If you don’t own your own firearm yet then don’t fret as we offer “loans” of appropriate .9mm ladies guns along with holsters to “citizens in good standing.” While at camp you’ll have the opportunity to test a wide variety of handguns to find the right fit for you!

April 2008: Hosted at the Shootout Range in Princeton, LA (near Shreveport.) This is the home range of head instructor Kay Clark-Miculek. Campers arrive on afternoon/evening of Wednesday, April 2nd and depart late Saturday, April 5th or Sunday, April 6th. **This is a great camp for novice and intermediate shooters! They get to use their new skills from camp to enjoy the low pressure environment at the annual Lady Smith & Wesson match **
August 2008: We are returning to the home range, outside of Syracuse, NY, of instructor Sheila Brey. This was a great camp last year and we will once again have “loaner” handguns available at the range for campers without a NY gun permit. Arrival is the afternoon/evening of Thursday, August 21st with range days of Friday, Saturday and half-day Sunday (departing August 24th.)
September 2008: Kudos to Brownell’s for making it possible for us to have a mid-west camp at long last! Campers will gather in Montezuma, Iowa (50 minutes from Des Moines or Cedar City airports) on Thursday, September 18th. We will be at the Brownell’s range on Friday, Saturday and ½ day Sunday (departing Sept. 21st or morning of Sept. 22nd.)
October 2008: Back by popular demand is our Arizona camp! This year we will using the Rio Salado Range in Mesa/Phoenix, AZ. Campers will gather afternoon/evening of October 12th (Sunday) with range days of Monday, Tuesday and ½ Wednesday (departure on Oct. 15th or morning of 16th.)
(** The Phoenix camp in October is full. **)

We normally stay in a lodge or bunkhouse located at the range, or nearby. We strongly encourage campers, even those who are local to the area, to spend the evenings with the group. This is an “immersion” style program where time spent both on the range and off the range is important! Estimate 700 to 800 rounds of ammo are needed for each camp. If you do not own a handgun please do not run out and buy one. We have a variety of “loaners” along with holsters that are appropriate for the novice/beginner lady shooter.
Cost: Price per woman is $450.00 with her own NRA membership. For campers without an individual NRA membership the cost is $475.00, and then we purchase her a one year membership into the NRA. Price includes range fees, instructors and housing, along with most of the food! This discounted fee is due to sponsorship by Smith & Wesson. (Usually we go out for an informal meal “on our own” once during camp.)
Availability: Once a camp is full then Kay will post that on the site so no additional reservations can be taken. To be on a stand-by list for a camp email Kay directly at Kay@Bang-Inc.com. Additional camp information, including airport shuttle service, concerns about ammo, etc. are coordinated by Deb Ferns starting about 60 days before each camp. Deb can be reached through her site of www.BabesWithBullets.com
